The Power of Indecision

I’ve been playing around with writing and the idea of building my own website for quite some time. Although I may sometimes produce cringeworthy content, I’m finally taking the plunge and building this site. Most of the material I intend to publish was written over the span of the last two years. In retrospective, I find most of it dated and amateurish, and I hope you do too.
You’ve Got to Start Somehow
I’m at a stage where I feel skilled enough to build and manage this small site from the ground up. This project is, among other things, a means to achieve a better understanding of the internet, web development, and content creation.
I also hope to inspire you to pursue whatever you think is worth pursuing. In the end, no one cares. The best time to plant a tree was a couple of years ago. The second best time is right now. We all end up regretting the things we didn’t do more than the things we have done.
Motivation
I identify two main drivers for this venture. One is the joy of having my own space. I enjoy dumping the output of my learning process and sometimes, just some thoughts. The second is contribution. QUite often, my inspiration comes from consuming and skimming over a variety of sites crafted in the same style I plan to use.
There are a myriad of websites similar to this one. The topics I cover are neither novel nor special; some may even feel like a rip-off. But there is value in the unique circumstances each person discovers and shares a subject. They greatly influence the way it’s presented. Adding to the abundance of reference choices to those entertaining some particular theme is a great incentive.
Expectations
I look forward to build this place. Long-term commitment, compromise, and dedication are key to happiness and success. Achieving long-term goals is great, but failure is also a possibility.
If some human out there somehow profits from this website, I will consider my objective fulfilled. On the other hand, if the fate of this place is to become another dark corner of the Internet, so be it. I will not lose my sleep over it.
