This website is a simple portfolio. I use it to gather my notes, learnings and thoughts. I find knowledge and self-exploration to be a great source of pleasure.

This Site

Is built with Hugo and TailwindCSS using Dirk Olbrich’s starter files. The layout is custom, inspired by Ethan Schoonover’s Solarized color scheme. It supports dark/light mode via CSS media queries.

Development Pipeline

I usually prefer using Vim for my text editing. For this particular project, I’ve found myself relying on VSCodium. Its rich plugin ecosystem and Git integration streamline the development process making it fun and enjoyable.

Name Origins

One of my sources of leisure is inquiring about astronomy. I came to discover the existence of the word rogue long ago, in the context of gravitationally detached celestial bodies. Think rogue planets, comets and black holes. I find the existence of stuff just wandering the universe both terrifying and amazing.

I picked the name Half Rogue with the cosmos in mind (and because I find it catchy). It intends to convey that this place displays some degree of independence or fails to follow an expected script.
